Dolores Schwarzrock

Dolores "DeDo" Schwarzrock, 81, of Gibbon died Wednesday, March 3, 2010 at the Fairfax Community Home in Fairfax.
 
Funeral service will be 11 AM Friday, March 5, 2010 at the Augustana Lutheran Church in Gibbon with burial in the church cemetery. Pastor Kelly Knox will officiate.
 
Visitation will be 4 - 7 PM Thursday at the Augustana Lutheran Church in Gibbon and will continue at church one hour prior to the time of service on Friday.
 
The Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in Gibbon is handling the arrangements.
 
 
Dolores is survived by her husband, Amos Schwarzrock of Gibbon; their children, Jeff of Gibbon, Jerry of Gibbon, Kathy (David) Thompson of Lamberton and Julie O'Brien of Birmingham, Alabama; nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
 
Dolores Esther King was born October 12, 1928 in Watertown, South Dakota to Charles and Inga (Iverson) King. She was a 1946 Graduate of Willmar Public High School. After high school she was employed at Ben Franklin and Thrifty Drug in Willmar. Delores was united in marriage to Amos Schwarzrock on April 1, 1950. They resided near Bird Island and moved to Gibbon in 1956.
 
DeDo had many interests including gardening, ceramics, sewing, painting, decorating, playing the organ and piano. She also liked to cook, bake and she loved her cats and kittens.
